General Admission Terms and Conditions:
- The student must hold a bachelor's degree in languages or literature from an Egyptian Academic Institution or its equivalent, which is accredited by the Supreme Universities Council, with a total grade of "Good" or above.
- The student must study two foreign languages in addition to the mother language, and one of the two languages must be a European language to be able to use it as a scientific research language.
- International students, the student must hold a bachelor's degree from an academic institution accredited by the Supreme Universities Council. The bachelor's total grade must be "Good" or above. The international student will be accepted only after receiving the approvals from the International Students Administration and the concerned parties.
- The international student must study two foreign languages in addition to Arabic.
- The student must pass the qualification exams, written and oral.
- The student must submit what proves his/her proficiency in the foreign language. The presented proof/certificate must be valid, and not more than two years have passed since its earning.
- The student must submit his/her English Proficiency Certificate TELP, TOEFL, or IELTS. (total grade of 450 for M.Sc. applicants and 500 for Ph.D. applicants).
- The student must present his/her ICDL or ECDL, which has been obtained from certified centers.
- The student must submit his/her bachelor's degree statement of grades and a two-pages essay written in the language of specialization, where he/she explains their academic goals and purpose for joining the postgraduate program he/she has chosen. Moreover, students must list their research priorities.
- For Master's applicants, the graduate students must present the certificates that support their success in the prerequisite studies of the faculty of languages or its equivalent institutions, which are accredited by the Supreme Universities Council. They must present a two-page essay written in the language of specialization, where they explain their academic purpose and research scope.
- For Ph.D. applicants, the graduate students must submit their master's degree certificate in addition to research written in the language of specialization. The student must also pass the comprehensive written exam in Literature, Linguistics, and Translation, which is held at the beginning of each academic semester. This exam qualifies the master's students to be admitted to doctoral programs.
- The student must study the second foreign language that he/she studied during their bachelor's degree. The student is also free to add a third foreign old/new language to his/her curriculum after getting the approval of the scientific department.
- The student must present the employer's approval statement.
